Products Description
PAM(CAS 9003-05-8) is a high-molecular-weight linear polymer with excellent flocculation properties. It is commonly used in wastewater treatment for flocculation and sludge dewatering. It can accelerate the sedimentation of particles in the suspension and significantly promote solution clarification and improve filtration efficiency, etc.
Polyacrylamide (PAM) has the following types:
1. By appearance: colloidal PAM and granular PAM;
2. By ionic type: cationic CPAM, anionic APAM, nonionic NPAM and amphoteric ACPAM.
3. By molecular weight: low molecular weight, medium molecular weight, high molecular weight and ultra-high molecular weight PAM;
4. By polymerization process: homopolymerized PAM and copolymerized PAM.

Q1:How to choose among the four ionic types of PAM?
Re: Anionic PAM for inorganic wastewater, coal washing and mineral processing; cationic PAM for organic sludge, slaughter and printing wastewater; nonionic PAM for acidic low-turbidity water; amphoteric PAM for high-salt and variable complex wastewater. Jar test is recommended.
Q2:How to store?
Re:Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, away from moisture, rain and direct sunlight. The storage environment temperature should be below 35℃ to prevent moisture absorption and caking. The PAM aqueous solution is easily degradable. It is recommended to prepare it immediately and use it promptly. Do not store it for a long time.
Q3:: What are the respective functions of anionic and cationic PAM in papermaking?
Re: Anionic PAM is for white water recovery and filler retention. Cationic PAM is mainly for papermaking sludge dewatering and can also improve paper dry strength.
