Poloxamer 188 is a non-ionic triblock copolymer with a chemical structure of polyethylene oxide - polypropylene oxide - polyethylene oxide (PEO-PPO-PEO). This structure not only endows it with excellent surface activity, but also enables it to effectively protect protein molecules in various stress environments, preventing aggregation and denaturation.
This product is available in three specifications: industrial grade, pharmaceutical grade, and electronic high-purity grade. The pharmaceutical grade has low hemolysis and excellent biocompatibility, can be sterilized, and is used as an excipient in injection preparations, cell culture, and in vitro diagnostics.
The electronic high-purity grade achieves a purity of ≥99.9%, with a single metal ion content of ≤5 ppb, without heat sources, no particulate matter, low BHT residue, narrow molecular weight distribution, and extremely low ion precipitation. It is suitable for semiconductor precision cleaning and new energy electronic wet processing. The foam is low, resistant to acids and alkalis, and is often used in combination with MOPS and TRIS buffers.
