CAS NO:15625-89-5 TMPTA/Trimethylolpropane Triacrylate

TMPTA is a trifunctional acrylate monomer.Its structure comprises three acrylate groups attached to a trimethylolpropane backbone, enabling high crosslinking density in polymerization reactions. It mainly plays the dual role of crosslinking agent and reactive diluent in industry, and is widely used in multiple high-tech fields.

1.As a reactive diluent, it reduces the viscosity of the system before curing, making it easier to apply; After curing, it participates in polymerization reactions and becomes a part of the cured film, significantly improving the hardness, wear resistance, and solvent resistance of the coating.
In the rubber industry, TMPTA serves as a sulfurizing agent for special rubbers such as ethylene propylene rubber and fluororubber, which can shorten the vulcanization time, improve the mechanical strength and corrosion resistance of products.
In the plastic industry, it can be used for crosslinking modification of thermoplastic materials such as polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride, improving their heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and mechanical properties.
TMPTA can also be used to manufacture photosensitive materials (such as photoresist, solder mask), glass fiber reinforced resins, special alkyd resins, and ultra-high water absorbing polymers.

1.Solubility: Almost insoluble in water, but soluble in most organic solvents.
2.Stability: Stable at room temperature, but needs to be stored away from light. Typically, polymerization inhibitors (such as hydroquinone) are added to prevent spontaneous polymerization under light or heat.
3.Safety: Irritable to the skin, avoid direct contact during use to prevent allergic reactions.
