Tricyclodecenyl acetate is colorless to pale yellow viscous liquid with fresh woody-green note and soft fruity undertone, good diffusion and long substantivity. Its standout advantage is excellent stability in alkaline medium, resistant to saponification and discoloration, which makes it ideal for alkaline formulations such as soap and laundry detergent. It is soluble in ethanol and oils, compatible with most perfume ingredients, suitable for lavender, fougere, chypre, jasmine, lily of the valley and other fragrance types. It is only for daily fragrance, NOT for food flavor.
